February 8, 2013; Moscow. JSC "TGK-6" (governed by IES-Holding) and RusVinyl LLC (JV of SIBUR and SolVin) signed a long-term heat supply contract at a free market price.
According to the reached agreement, Novogorkovsky Heat Power Plant of TGK-6 JSC will provide RusVinyl production complex with 500,000 Gcal/y of heat energy in steam and hot water as well as with 1.5m t/y of demineralized water during the course of 10 years.
The present contract was signed by the Parties within the framework of the Memorandum on strategic cooperation signed by IES-Holding and SIBUR on February 5, 2013.
In Russia it is one of the first examples of concluding long-term contracts for heat supply to industrial consumers at a free market price, which became possible on the basis of Federal Law “On Heat Supply".
RusVinyl LLC is a joint Russian Belgian company created for the construction and operation of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and caustic soda (NaOH) production plant in Kstovo district of Nizhniy Novgorod region. The founders of the joint venture are SIBUR, the major petrochemical holding of Russia and Belgian company - SolVin, the leader in the PVC production in Europe. SolVin – is a joint affiliate of the international chemical group Solvay (75%) and the German chemical company BASF (25%). Production Capacities of the plant will be 330 kilotons of PVC and 235 kilotons of caustic soda per year.
