As of today, the progress of civil works related to construction of the PVC Production Complex of RusVinyl LLC in Kstovo district of the Nizhny Novgorod region stands at 66%. Construction of frames of industrial facilities is in the active phase. Ferroconcrete arches of electrical and mechanical workshops have been mounted. Construction contractors are erecting monolithic ferroconcrete columns, beams, and slabs. Construction of the plant’s administrative building is going at full speed.
Today the volume of completed concrete works amounts to 34,000 tons. Inter alia, the full scope of concrete works has been completed at three in-house substations and at some of the objects in the area of the UEM unit and the PVC production unit. 5 kilometers of pipes have been laid as part of works related to installation of underground systems on the construction site of the complex. Also up to the present moment, over 590 tons of metal structures have been mounted.
On the area of the UEM, VCM and PVC production units 36 items of process equipment have been installed in total.
Construction of the ethylene pipeline is at its final stage (95%). After the start-up of the PVC plant, this pipeline will be used for ethylene supply from workshop 52 of Kstovo Petrochemical Plant to the VCM production unit. The total length of the ethylene pipeline amounts to 5,500 meters.
Over 1,500 workers of contractors are involved in construction of the complex. Moreover, during the year it is projected to increase this number up to 2,500 workers. RusVinyl pays special attention to industrial and labor safety. As of today, more than 4,000,000 man hours have been worked at the project without traumas and incidents.
